No, you don't need a physical SIM card for Jerusalem. A travel eSIM gives you the same mobile data without the plastic: buy it online, install it before you leave, and keep your home number active on your phone. It's usually cheaper and faster than buying a local SIM on arrival.

For most travelers, an eSIM beats a physical SIM card for Jerusalem. No hunting for a local SIM on arrival, no ID paperwork, no queue: you install it before you leave, it connects when you land, and you keep your own number. A physical SIM only makes sense if your phone doesn't support eSIM.

You can buy a local SIM card at airports and carrier shops in Jerusalem, but the easiest option is a travel eSIM: buy it online, install it before you leave, and it activates the moment you land. No queues, no ID checks, and you can compare plans and prices right here.
