Using Personal Hotspot (Tethering)
You can share your Simsima data over a personal hotspot, provided your device and the local network allow it.
The catch that trips most people up: if your plan requires an APN, you must set it for the hotspot as well as for cellular data, and both must be identical. A hotspot with a blank or different APN connects devices that then get no internet.
On iPhone
1Settings > Personal Hotspot > turn on Allow Others to Join
2If your plan lists an APN: Settings > Cellular > your Simsima plan > Cellular Data Network
3Enter the APN in the Cellular Data section and in the Personal Hotspot section, identically
On Android
1Settings > Network & internet > Hotspot and tethering > Wi-Fi hotspot
2If an APN is required, edit it under Access Point Names and make sure the APN Type field includes hotspot support (usually default,dun)
Watch Your Data
Laptops consume far more than phones — automatic updates, cloud sync and backups can empty a plan in minutes. Disable automatic updates on any device you connect before you start.
