Install without scanning a QR code, by entering the activation details by hand.
Manual Installation Using the SM-DP+ Address
When the QR code will not scan — a cracked screen, no second device to display it, a camera that refuses — you can install by typing the details instead. Both are in your confirmation email and in your Simsima account under My eSIMs.
You need two values: the SM-DP+ address and the activation code.
On iPhone
1Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM
2Choose Use QR Code, then tap Enter Details Manually
3Enter the SM-DP+ address and the activation code
4Enter the confirmation code only if one was provided
5Turn the line on, select it for Cellular Data, enable Data Roaming
On Android
1Settings > Network & internet
2Tap + next to Mobile network, or SIMs > Download a SIM instead
3When asked "Don't have a SIM card?", tap Next
4Tap Enter code manually and enter the SM-DP+ address
5Turn the eSIM on, enable Mobile data and Roaming
Before You Start
Use a stable connection and turn off any VPN. An interrupted download consumes the profile, and most eSIMs install only once.
