Error: "Unable to Complete Cellular Plan Change"
Four causes of this iPhone installation failure, from full eSIM storage to a weak connection.
Error: "Unable to Complete Cellular Plan Change"
This iPhone error means the installation failed. There are four usual causes.
1. eSIM storage is full. iPhones hold roughly 5 to 10 eSIM profiles depending on the model. Delete expired ones: Settings > Cellular > select an old plan > Remove eSIM.
2. Mobile data is turned off. Turn it back on before installing: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data.
3. The eSIM was already installed. Most eSIMs install once only. Check Settings > General > About for the ICCID from your confirmation email. If it is there, the eSIM is on the device and you only need to enable the line.
4. The connection dropped during installation. Ship, hotel and public Wi-Fi are the usual culprits. Retry on a stable network with any VPN disabled.
Then Retry
Restart the device and install again, using the manual method if the QR code failed. The SM-DP+ address and activation code are in your confirmation email.
