Simsima plans are data only. They carry no voice calls, no SMS, and no local phone number. This is the single most common misunderstanding in support requests, and it is worth checking before you travel rather than after.

How to Check Your Plan

Open the plan page or your order details and look at the plan type: every Simsima plan is data only, both before and after purchase.

If Your Plan Is Data Only

You can still call and message over the internet:

WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, FaceTime and similar apps work normally over your eSIM data

iMessage works once reset to use your email address rather than your phone number

Your home number can still receive calls if your primary line stays active — but your own carrier's roaming charges then apply

Receiving SMS Codes From Your Bank

A data-only eSIM cannot receive SMS verification codes. If you rely on them, keep your home SIM active for texts, or switch that account to an authenticator app before you travel. This surprises people at the worst possible moment.
