Install eSIM on Samsung
Samsung-specific instructions for Galaxy S20 and newer devices.
Installing eSIM on Samsung Galaxy
Samsung devices use One UI, which has a slightly different menu structure than stock Android. Not sure if your Samsung is compatible? Check our eSIM Supported Devices page.
Compatible Samsung Devices
Galaxy S25 / S24 / S23 / S22 / S21 / S20 series
Galaxy Z Fold / Z Flip (all generations)
Galaxy Note 20 series
Method 1: Smart Link (Recommended)
1Open the Smart Link from your Simsima email on your Samsung device
2The phone will prompt you to add a new mobile plan
3Tap Add or Download
4Wait for the eSIM profile to install
5Optionally rename it for easy identification
Method 2: QR Code
1Open Settings
2Tap Connections
3Tap SIM manager (or SIM card manager)
4Tap Add eSIM (or Add mobile plan)
5Select Scan QR code from service provider
6Scan your Simsima QR code
7Tap Confirm when the plan appears
8Wait for download to complete
Method 3: Manual Entry
1Follow the QR code steps above
2Tap Enter activation code instead
3Enter the SM-DP+ address and Activation Code
4Tap Connect and wait for download
Activating for Travel
1Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager
2Find your Simsima eSIM and tap it
3Toggle it ON
4Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks
5Enable Data roaming
Quick SIM Switching on One UI
Samsung makes it easy to switch between SIMs:
Pull down the notification shade
Tap the SIM card icon in Quick Settings
Select your Simsima eSIM for data
Alternatively, go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager to set defaults
Common Samsung Issues
"Cannot add plan" error:
Restart your device and try again
Make sure Wi-Fi is connected and stable
Check that your device is carrier-unlocked
eSIM option not showing:
Update your device to the latest One UI version
Some carrier firmware may hide eSIM options — contact your carrier
