Jailbroken and Rooted Devices
eSIM profiles will not install on modified devices. There is no workaround.
Jailbroken and Rooted Devices
eSIM profiles will not install on a jailbroken iPhone or a rooted Android device. This is a restriction built into the eSIM standard itself as a security measure, not a Simsima policy, and no provider can bypass it.
What This Means
If your device is modified, the installation will fail — often with a generic error that gives no hint of the real cause. Restoring the device to stock firmware restores eSIM support.
Your Options
Before You Buy
If your device is jailbroken or rooted and you cannot restore it, do not buy an eSIM for it. Check the compatible devices list and our refund policy first — an eSIM that has been issued cannot always be refunded.
If you are unsure whether your device counts as modified, contact us before purchasing.
