The fastest way to install your eSIM — one tap, no QR code needed.
What is Smart Link?
Smart Link is Simsima's one-tap eSIM installation method. Instead of scanning a QR code, you simply tap a link on your mobile device and the eSIM installs automatically. It is the fastest and easiest way to set up your eSIM.
How It Works
1After purchasing your eSIM, you receive a Smart Link in your confirmation email and in your Simsima account
2Open the link on the device where you want to install the eSIM
3Your phone detects the eSIM profile and opens the installation dialog
4Confirm the installation with one tap
5Done — your eSIM is ready
Where to Find Your Smart Link
Confirmation email — Look for the "Install via Smart Link" button
Your [Simsima account](/account/esims) — Go to My eSIMs, select the order, tap "Smart Link"
Order confirmation page — Displayed right after purchase
Important Notes
Open on your mobile device — The Smart Link must be opened on the phone where you want the eSIM. Opening it on a computer will not work.
Use your default browser — Open the link in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) for the best experience
Wi-Fi required — You need an internet connection to download the eSIM profile
One-time use — Each Smart Link can typically be used once. If you need to reinstall, use the QR code or manual codes from your account.
Smart Link vs QR Code vs Manual
Smart Link — Fastest. One tap, no camera needed. Best if installing from your own email.
QR Code — Great if you have the code displayed on another screen. Requires camera.
Manual entry — Fallback option if Smart Link and QR code do not work. Uses SM-DP+ address and Activation Code.
Troubleshooting
Link opens but nothing happens:
Make sure you are on a supported device (iPhone XS+ or compatible Android)
Check that your device is carrier-unlocked
Try opening the link in your default browser instead of an in-app browser
"Plan already installed" message:
The eSIM was already downloaded. Check Settings > Cellular (iPhone) or Settings > SIMs (Android) to find it.
