Reinstalling Your eSIM
Sometimes you may need to remove and reinstall your eSIM — for example, after a device reset, when switching phones, or if the original installation had issues.
Before You Remove
Check your data — Removing an eSIM may forfeit remaining data on some plans. Check your account first.
Save your codes — Make sure you have access to your Smart Link, QR code, or manual codes (in your Simsima account or confirmation email)
Wi-Fi access — You will need internet to re-download the eSIM profile
How to Remove an eSIM
iPhone:
1Go to Settings > Cellular
2Tap on your Simsima plan
3Scroll down and tap Remove eSIM (or Delete eSIM)
4Confirm the removal
Android:
1Go to Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs
2Tap your Simsima profile
3Tap Delete or Remove
4Confirm
Samsung:
1Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager
2Tap your Simsima eSIM
3Tap Remove
4Confirm
How to Reinstall
After removal, reinstall using one of these methods:
1Smart Link — Open the link from your confirmation email or Simsima account
2QR Code — Find it in your Simsima account under My eSIMs
3Manual codes — Enter the SM-DP+ address and Activation Code from your account
Transferring to a New Device
If you are switching to a new phone:
1Remove the eSIM from your old device
2On your new device, install using Smart Link, QR code, or manual codes from your Simsima account
3Note: Some eSIMs have a limited number of installations. If reinstallation fails, contact support.
Limits on Reinstallation
Most Simsima eSIMs can be reinstalled a limited number of times (typically 2-3 times). If you have exhausted reinstallation attempts, contact our support team — we can help.
